Track & Field: Our Special Education Department hosts this event usually held at Calvert High School. Training for the Track & Field event is done at your child’s school, usually during school hours. Most schools participate, however participation depends on your school having a coach to train the athletes. If your child wants to participate in this event, you may want to double check with your child’s teacher/ school in February /early March to be sure your child’s school is participating, and that your child is signed up. This event also counts as one of the qualifiers to be able to compete in the Maryland Special Olympics Summer Games Track & Field events are done in participation with the County School System’s Special Education Department. |
